If their is one sport that is alot harder than it looks it's sumo wrestling. Sumo wrestling has been around many years and still thrives in China and Japan. Sumo wrestling takes skill and determination as to be a great sumo wrestler takes many years of hard work and practice. if you think that you can just walk into sumo wrestling and be a star and champion than you are mistaken. It takes time to learn the sport and the rules that you must follow if you want to make an impact on the sport. Most Americans don't understand the sport and this has caused the ignorance towards the sport in the United States. To really understand sumo wresting you first have to step back and learn history of sumo wrestling. Sumo wrestling has a very proud tradition that was started years ago. To become a grands champion in sumo wrestling takes years. Very few Americans have entered into sumo wrestling and the few that have know and realize it's more than just a sport it's a tradition among the people who follow the sport.

Sumo wrestling is a sport that people from the outside don't really understand. Breaking into sumo wrestling is also very tough and something that could take a wrestler years to do. Knowing people on the inside helps, but the quickest way is learn about sumo wrestling it traditions and to respect the sport for what it is a sport just like any other. A sumo wresting grand champion is considered king in his country. The hard work and dedication that a sumo wrestler puts out is appreciate by fans and other sumo wrestlers alike. Sumo wrestling continues to grow throughout the world even though it's popularity in the United States is real low. This doesn't mean though that people in the United States don't follow sumo wrestling because they do. Sumo wrestling will be around for many years to come as the popularity just seems to grow in China and Japan. I look for that to continue for a very long time. Sumo wrestling is king in these countries and will stay that way for a very long time.
