In the last few years more boys are going into boys wrestling than every before. Boys wrestling had seemed some down years, but that has look like that's just not the case anymore. More boys are taking wrestling and starting younger it seems. Years ago boys wrestling was something every boy would do as they loved the contact you had. As schools got away from boys wrestling less and less kids would ask about it thus many schools didn't even carry it as part of their gym class. Wrestling now making a comeback and thus it's being added to gym classes once again for younger boys. Boys wrestling seems to come in cycles as certain years you get better attendance than you do at other times. Wrestling in the high school level though has never been as popular as it is today. Getting good quality coaches to stick with it is very tough without pay. Some do give back and help out boy wrestling programs.
